Being a Villanova student, we frequent the Wells Fargo Center in Philly for the biggest basketball games of the season. Meanwhile, the WFC also hosts the iconic 76er's and the Flyers. But, if you're begrudgingly dragged to a big game- don't fret. The eateries inside WFC are enough to save the day and guarantee a ~slice~ of enjoyment, even for the biggest sports hater.
The star of the show at Wells Fargo are the crab fries from Chickie & Pete's. These gorgeous crinkle cut fries are generously dusted with Old Bay seasoning. If that wasn't enough to make your mouth water, they are also served with a delicious cheese sauce for dunking. If you have been to WFC before for a game, you know the line is always dozens of people long, and it's justified. To be honest, I've waited over 30 minutes for these golden babies and I have #noregrets. This bucket of crab fries makes every miserable moment of watching sports you don't care about a whole lot better.
WFC also hosts restaurants including Shake Shack, P.J. Wellihan Pub, Rita's Ice, Chick-Fil-A, cheese steaks, and tons of warm, soft pretzel stands. My tradition is buying some crab fries from Chickie & Pete's and making my way over to Shake Shack for a yummy burger. Nothing beats this combination of greasy foods after a long, beer-filled tailgate. And, for the sports lovers, the food here at Wells Fargo Center will make the game even better than a home win!
